January 12, 2009  – Lori Ault has joined S. H. Smith & Company, a national, independently owned specialty insurance broker, as Vice President, Sales, joining the Midwestern sales team. She will be located out of S. H. Smith & Company's Midwest regional office in Ohio.

Lori's responsibilities will be to foster new agency relationships as well as service the firm's existing agency base. She has extensive knowledge of property/casualty products and excess and surplus lines experience, including a specialization in executive liability products.

Prior to joining S.H. Smith & Company, Lori implemented sales programs for a wide range of specialty insurance products, with an emphasis on financial institutions. She was Vice President, Sales at Mercator Risk Services; Sr. Vice President, Executive Liability for Wells Fargo Insurance Services; and prior to that Vice President at Royal & SunAlliance Company. Lori earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio University.
