|
Liquor licenses carry a tremendous amount of responsibility and liability with them. If an establishment with a liquor license serves a patron too much or unknowingly serves an under-age patron, the establishment in question exposes themselves to a potentially enormous exposure. Did you know that if your insured’s business is located in a state that recognizes joint and several liability, your insured can be held liable for an entire liquor liability claim even if the intoxicated person consumed only one drink at your insured’s establishment? Managing the litigation process of a liquor liability claim can be overwhelmingly time consuming; even if the establishment in question is not found liable, the average cost to defend such claims is $150,000. Contact us today, and rest assured that our experts will find the best market for your insured’s particular liquor liability exposure.
